Homeschooling a Child with Dyslexia

April 28, 2023 By Jen Pelcyger

28 Apr

Do you notice your child reading short words incorrectly, like but or for? Do you see your child guess at words or memorize picture books? Are you unsure of how to help your child? We can help! At Dyslexia Solutions of Colorado we will teach your child reading strategies and spelling patterns that they can use at home. Summer is a great time to begin.

Time for Learning has some great ideas for teaching reading. However, make sure that the homeschooling curriculum you are using has explicit instruction using multisensory methods. There is a lot to cover such as syllable types, syllable divisions, and you may feel over your head fast. Contact us for a free consultation on our services to help your child improve reading and spelling.
