April 6, 2021 By Jen Pelcyger

This podcast on ADHD gives an overview of what kids with ADHD need to succeed in school. A great take home was that if you punish a child with ADHD if he forgets to bring his homework you are punishing him for his disability. Give him verbal external reminder instead.

Homework Tips:

* Remind.com software is a great way for teachers to send reminders to students when an assignment is due.

* Take pictures of the assignment on the board These kids have difficulty with the following:

1.Taking notes

2. Copying from the board

3. Organization

4. Independent Work

5. Emotional Control
